Wall of Love

Discovering your Primal Question is like seeing your life in full color for the first time. It opens your eyes to understand why you always get stuck in same old cycles. I get frustrated when an author comes up with an epigrammatic concept and then tries to force every problem through it as the ultimate fix. In The Seven Primal Questions, however, Mike Foster has developed a cogent concept with a robust engine for application in all areas of life. I appreciate how Foster structures the book–explaining the main idea, then breaking it down for the seven types of readers, and finally breaking it out practically into different contexts of life. For example, as it applies to relationships: “A relationship cannot succeed if your partner constantly answers your Primal Question with a no.…You will struggle to stay connected with people who continuously stomp all over your Primal Question. Whether they do it intentionally or unintentionally, you will not thrive with these people.” This idea alone will set so many people free! As a psychotherapist, I could see myself using the Primal Question framework to help clients gain insights and get unstuck from their "scramble.” As a pragmatist, I can see myself applying this book personally for immediate benefit–bringing joyous impact to my life and those around me!
